Music and notes

The Bushey Academy is holding our first ever Christmas Fair this year. It will take place at the academy on Saturday 12th December, from 11-3pm. There will be a range of stalls selling seasonal items, and activities for all the family. Do come along and bring your friends! If you would like to run a stall, please contact Miss Higgs: shiggs@thebusheyacademy.org All proceeds from the event will go to DRUM, our academy charity for the year.

The annual House Music Competition took place this week. The range of talent on display in so many different categories was amazing to see. The sell-out audience enjoyed the performances and the judges had an extremely difficult time making their decisions. The standard of competion raises the standard ever higher, and it is great to see so many students acting as mentors during the ensemble pieces. Many congratulations to all involved.

Last week I mentioned the Sixth Form students and their work placements that took place over half term. This week they attended a reception hosted at the House of Commons to recognise their hard work. As many of them are now finalising their University applications, this was well timed!
