Our new Year 7s for September joined the academy on Thursday to get a taste of life at The Bushey Academy. They enjoyed a range of activities to get to know each other and the school. After this their parents met their child's form tutor. The day ran very smoothly, and I look forward to welcoming more families to our community in September.
Whilst the new Year 7s were enjoying their new school, Year 10 students were on a trip to central London. You may have read in the national press how schools are being asked to cover 'British Values'. By starting with the statues in Parliament Square and taking in the Houses of Parliament, as well as Horse Guards Parade, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, we were able to bring life to the values of democracy, the rule of law, as well as tolerance and diversity in our cosmopolitan capital.
