Guess who?

Before Christmas, our debaters were the runners up in the Watford inter-schools competition. Their prize was a behind the scenes tour of the Houses of Parliament, which took place this week. This included the chance to meet the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, pictured below with our debaters, and Richard Harrington, our local MP. They also visited the Speaker's House, and were certainly inspired by their surroundings.

Year 8 students this week had the opportunity to work with students from Madrid on the Millenium Objectives: Poverty and the Environment. They were involved in a series of workshops on these themes that required agreement on a range of issues. Both sets of students enjoyed the day, and learnt a great deal about the world in which we live.

Yesterday was World Book Day, which is the first day of our Reading week at The Bushey Academy. There are a range of activities taking place all week, designed to promote reading. Can you guess which members of staff are reading the books below?
