The term that ends today has been a fabulous one. It started with record results, and continued on from that strong position. The academy is bigger than it has ever been, and this morning students can look back on the term with much pride.
The first edition of The Bushey Observer is below, a newspaper created by students for the school community. Students pitched the idea to the Senior Leadership team at the start of term, and created all the design elements, conducted all the interviews and wrote all the articles below. They are building on the work of the BBC Schools report team who interviewed Lord Sugar at the Grand Opening of our fabulous new facilities.
This week large numbers of the community enjoyed the Carol Concert in St. James Church. Tickets were sold out well in advance, and those who were lucky enough to attend were treated to carols, festive music, readings and even a song from the academy staff choir.
Today is our annual festive jumper day, which we use to raise money for our academy charities, Make a Wish and Great Ormond Street Hospital. There are some fabulous jumpers on display, and here is mine.
Merry Christmas to you all, and I look forward to another exciting New Year.
