Season's Greetings

Christmas has come to the academy this week, with music, cards and charity activities. Students helped to decorate our beautiful tree in the market place, and with more trees in the Grand Hall, Cube Theatre and Sixth Form area, they have had a busy few days. We enjoyed live festive music during a lunctime recital from 'Pilgrim', a Harp group led by an academy parent and the winner of the Year 7 Christmas card competition was announced in assembly. The winning entry, below, is used as the academy's official card.

Students spent time at the Watford Intu Centre after school staffing the charity wrapping station, raising funds for the academy charity, while our first Christmas Fair takes place on Saturday 12th December and the Carol Service on 18th December.

Meanwhile, hard work continues as normal at the academy and Year 11 students start Focus Week next week, spending extended time with their subject teachers preparing for their post-holiday mock GCSE examinations. There is still much to do this term.
