Students are starting to finish exams this week and next, which is a good moment to look ahead for them, to life beyond the academy. Many Year 11 students will be back with us in September for Sixth Form. Others are preparing for College or further training. Record numbers of Year 13 students have offers from the 'Russell Group' of most prestigious universities. 33% of the year group have firm offers from these universities, with lots of other excellent offers for students going elsewhere. Subjects include: Medicine, Law, Economics, Psychology, Chemical Engineering and Fine Art. I am very proud of all of their achievements, and wish them well for the future.
Students and staff are hard at work rehearsing for 'Grease' which hits the academy from 15th July. Recent successes including 'We Will Rock You' have set a high standard that many in our community have very much enjoyed. Tickets for 'Grease' are now on sale through Parent Pay; it is worth booking yours without delay!
