Making a splash!

In the classroom this week Year 11 students have their last regular lessons. After the half term break they are with us for a series of revision sessions for each remaining examination.

Outside the classroom, members of the Stretch Club in Year 7 were invited to Harrow School to learn how to play water polo as part of our Gifted and Talented enrichment programme. There was a diverse range of skills, and a good time was had by all.

Further sports news includes the final Athletics Meet of the half term. There were impressive victories in the U14 boys javelin and U16 boys 800m, and good results in the hurdles.

The Year 7 Cricketers had their first ever match. In a tight contest they fell short by 2 runs against Bushey Meads.  The boys started the tennis season away at Parmiters whilst the girls hosted St Margaret’s at Rounders. They scored an impressive victory by 2 rounders.

Many of us enjoyed a fabulous concert yesterday afternoon to raise funds for our academy charities, Make a Wish and Great Ormond Street Hospital. The event showcased talents across the academy.

I look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday 1st June for our final half term of the year. With several weeks of uninterrupted learning it is a perfect time to consolidate and further extend the year's studies. Academy events include Sports Day and 'Grease', so there is plenty to look forward to.
